Five & Six is a collaborative photo/text interview series. Writers and artists are given a list of words to use as launch pads for discussing their lives and work, then are photographed in their studio or the place where they tend to work and write most often. Five and Six refers, approximately, to 5 concrete words, and 6 abstractions. Some words are chosen at random, others are chosen for their relevance to the particular person. New interviews will appear as time allows. Edited by Elizabeth Bryant.
